Juanita Hackett Howell

(1910-2001)

Year Inducted: 1986

Home State: AZ

Juanita, whose trick riding and trick roping brought her fame throughout the U.S., did not see a rodeo until the age of 20, when she joined her mother in the King Brothers Show and learned the life of a wild west performer. Meeting and marrying her husband in the rodeo arena, she performed with him as a top trick act for over 20 years. Juanita was also one of the original Cowboy Turtle Association members.
