Traveling Trunks
The Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame has a TRAVELING TRUNK available for check-out by teachers in the North Texas area. The trunk contains cowboy and cowgirl artifacts, a Teacher Resource Guide, as well as books written for various reading levels.
Whether used before or after a museum visit, or as part of your curriculum, the Traveling Trunk and its activities encourage children to learn about cowgirls, as well as other settlers and pioneers, who played an important role in shaping the West.
The trunk is available for a two-week period on a first-come, first-served basis with the completion of a Request Form and a $25.00 refundable deposit. For additional questions or to obtain a Request Form, contact Cindi Collins, Director of School Services at 817-509-8697 or ccollins@cowgirl.net.
